Tyson Fury has vowed to deliver MMA fighter Francis Ngannou his first knockout blow when they go toe to toe in Riyadh on Saturday night 22bet
Heavyweight champion Fury will contest a 35th career bout this weekend, but his WBC title will not be on the line against Ngannou for the 10-round fight 22bet
Fury is set for a long-anticipated undisputed heavyweight showdown with Oleksandr Usyk before March, which is also scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia 22bet
First, though, Fury intends to dispatch 22bet boxing novice Ngannou, who left the UFC after the end of his contract, a last fight coming in January 2022, before signing up with the Professional Fighters League from 2024 22bet
Trainer SugarHill Steward admitted preparing Fury to take on the Mixed Martial Arts fighter was one of the hardest camps, given they just do not know what to expect from Ngannou 22bet
Fury, though, is confident of what the final outcome will be 22bet
“I have been working with SugarHill to knock him out cold on Sunday night 22bet
I have no doubt in my mind that I will knock him out,” Fury said 22bet
“He is a big strong guy 22bet
Obviously he has got a good punch, powerful – but so am I 22bet
I’m a big strong guy obviously powerful or else I would not be world heavyweight champion 22bet
I believe there is levels to the game – and he is going to find out my level on Saturday night 22bet
”Fury added: “I have trained for a 12-round war, and if it is anything less it is going to be an early night 22bet
I’ve been hit by the biggest punches that have ever graced the face of the earth and I’m still undefeated, still standing and I am still number one 22bet
“We are going to see what Francis has got inside of him, see if he’s got the guts to stand and trade with the heavyweight champion of the world and if he has got the belief in his power 22bet
“I’m not convinced 22bet
I have heard all this talk before about power, so I’m looking forward to a challenge – and if it is not a challenge, I’ll be disappointed, put in that way 22bet
“I am going to knock that big stiff spark out – and there is nothing he can do about it, no matter who he trains with, no matter who he brings on the night 22bet
That right hand is going to detonate right in your face, you big ugly dosser 22bet
”During the pre-fight build-up Fury accused Ngannou of being “embarrassed” of his own body 22bet
Fury again goaded the 37-year-old as a “big fat sausage” in Thursday’s media conference ahead of the ‘Battle of the Baddest’ 22bet
Cameroon-born Ngannou, though, is fully intent on showing Fury just what he can deliver in a 22bet boxing ring rather than the UFC Octagon 22bet
“It might be a little weird, but I really also want to thank Tyson Fury for taking the fight, for taking the risk because he might go to sleep on Saturday night, so I appreciate his courage,” Ngannou said 22bet
Mike Tyson is part of Ngannou’s camp, and enjoyed a verbal sparing with John Fury which saw the 59-year-old Briton challenge the former heavyweight champion to a showdown, regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s contest for his son 22bet
Tyson admitted he was not sure what to make of Ngannou’s 22bet boxing ability, until he saw him in close quarters 22bet
“At first when this came to me, I said ‘there’s no way this is going to happen’,” Tyson said 22bet
“Then I watched him spar and he hit this guy and he broke his leg when he went down – and I said ‘man, there is a possibility something good could happen here’ 22bet
“I have never seen anything like that before 22bet
If he could do that man, he could possibly be heavyweight champion of the world 22bet

Martin Bakole is angry 22bet
Frankly, that may be an understatement 22bet
In Bakole’s eyes, he is the most avoided man in the heavyweight division, and the worry for Carlos Takam is that he may have to absorb that anger on Saturday 22bet
Before Tyson Fury’s bewildering bout with Francis Ngannou plays out among the dunes of Saudi Arabia, Bakole and Takam will meet in a more traditional heavyweight clash – and one that Bakole intends to mark with a breakout performance 22bet
Perhaps with that, he can make up for the ‘mistake’ that has defined his professional career in recent years 22bet
“The only mistake I made, and even my coaches are telling me, is that they allowed me to spar these top guys,” Bakole tells The Independent 22bet
“These guys know they don’t belong where they are now, because if I stand with them, I give them problems 22bet
I only show them three or four punches, because I’m coming to help them; but even in helping them, I’m giving them problems 22bet
I’m a machine in there, throwing as many punches as I can 22bet
I don’t get tired, I keep coming 22bet
”Of one argument with a high-profile, highly-ranked heavyweight, Bakole says: “If they post the [sparring] video, you will see for yourself 22bet
I’m not allowed to record video 22bet
The only reason I was going to share it was to show the world how they’re avoiding me 22bet
“If you ask them today, none of them will say they’ll fight Martin Bakole 22bet
We’re killing 22bet boxing, we need to stop this 22bet
I’ve been living in the UK for five years now, people know who Martin Bakole is 22bet
I’m fighting every day for my ranking; why not them?” Bakole’s ranking, as it stands, is No 2 in the WBA top 10 22bet
The only men above him are No 1 contender Deontay Wilder – the former WBC champion – and unified title holder Oleksandr Usyk 22bet
Yet it is the reigning WBC champion, Fury, whom Bakole identifies as the only man on his level 22bet
“He’s the only man where we shared a ring and it was 50-50,” says the 30-year-old Congolese, now based outside of Glasgow, whose record stands at 19-1 (14 knockouts) 22bet
“When we spar, everyone in the gym is quiet, focused, watching us 22bet
I give him a fight, he gives me a fight back, and I always learn a lot 22bet
Every time he calls me, I always go 22bet
I don’t know if I’ll meet him one day in the ring; all I know is he’s the only one who can give me good sparring, because we keep coming forward and stand and fight like Muhammad Ali and George Foreman 22bet
”Bakole during a stoppage win against Rodney Hernandez (Getty Images)The pair have been helping one another ahead of Saturday’s crossover event in Riyadh, where Fury boxes ex-UFC champion Ngannou and where the Briton is contracted to fight Usyk next 22bet
Bakole, however, has mixed feelings on both of Fury’s impending fights 22bet
“22bet Boxing is a business now,” he says matter-of-factly 22bet
“If you’re watching the top 10, Tyson hasn’t fought everyone 22bet
He fought some good guys, he beat Deontay Wilder, but to pick Ngannou from MMA 22bet
22bet
22bet
I was not happy with that 22bet
But it is what it is 22bet
It’s about money, now people don’t care about 22bet boxing 22bet
I was happy to see him sign the contract to fight Usyk, because that’s what we’ve been waiting for 22bet
” Not, however, in the way that fans have been waiting 22bet
“We,” meaning boxers, “want the belts, we want four champions; we can’t just sit and get old with one man holding all the belts 22bet
The winner must give up some belts, so that we can fight each other 22bet
”23 December is one of the mooted dates for Fury vs Usyk, and Bakole trusts his sparring partner to be able to turn around in time, also backing the “Gypsy King” to make light work of Ngannou 22bet
“Tyson knows what he’s doing 22bet
Maybe he’ll stop Ngannou early, that’s the only reason I can think why he signed the contract [to box Usyk] 22bet
He will not play with Ngannou, I don’t see Ngannou surviving a round with Fury 22bet
Easy money, then go and work hard for Usyk, because it’s a tough, 12-round fight 22bet
”Bakole at his open workout ahead of his fight with Carlos Takam this weekend (Getty Images)Bakole will also be hoping that his money comes easy on Saturday 22bet
“I’ll be giving everything,” he says, “because Takam is coming to take my place 22bet
He’s an old man,” in 22bet boxing at least, at 42, “but he’s tough and fit! So, everything is on the line for me 22bet
I don’t think it’ll go past five or six rounds 22bet
I’m going to stop him 22bet
It’s a massive [turning point] 22bet
This is a big opportunity to get people making noise and saying, ‘We want to see Martin against him, or him 22bet
’ “Once the fans start asking boxers to fight me, I don’t think they’ll be avoiding me 22bet
There will be money in it 22bet
”Until then, there is money in Saudi, there is money in Fury, and that is a perfect combination for Bakole’s fight this weekend 22bet
